The Company
Relativity Technologies, Inc. is the software solutions leader
in legacy systems transformation to Internet and client/server
environments. Relativity was founded in February 1997 in
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, one of the fastest
growing centers for software development in the United States.
Come join us and help build one of the leading post year 2000
software companies. Relativity is a fast paced, dynamic and
challenging environment for those who want to grow with the best
and really make a difference in the software industry.
Relativity's flagship product, RescueWare, is the first in an
emerging software category called legacy transformation.
RescueWare moves all or parts of legacy COBOL applications to
modern platforms, such as the Internet and client/server.
Transformation is defined as the transition of existing system
interfaces, business logic and data to modern computing
paradigms (e.g., event-driven and object-based) and languages
(e.g., Java, Visual Basic, C++ and HTML). RescueWare also offers
Year 2000 and European Monetary Union analysis and remediation
as part of the transformation solution.
RescueWare enables the mining of components from existing COBOL
systems. Component mining allows users to build class libraries
of core business functions that can then be reused and more
easily maintained.
To date, over 200 person-years have been spent in the
development and testing of RescueWare. With RescueWare, a user
can inventory, analyze and Year 2000 remediate their systems
and, for an incremental effort, move all or parts of those
systems to Internet or client/server platforms.
